Busy anyone???

I'm kind of missing the lazy days of summer right now. Not the temperatures though! Fall always brings lots of activities and busy schedules for everyone. And it's no different for us. The weather has been fantastic around here lately so we've been doing lots of outdoor activities. We went to a rather disappointing pumpkin patch a couple of weekends ago. It was closer to our house, so we decided to give it a try. We were not impressed, but I snapped a few pics anyway. We're heading out to our favorite pumpkin patch this weekend with lots of friends, so be prepared for picture overload next week :)

 Fall is my favorite season of the year. I love pumpkins!

 Hudson took his pumpkin picking very seriously this year. 

We went through about 25 before selecting the perfect one. 

 And then he insisted on bringing home this "banana pumpkin, Mommy." 

I posted about the Texas Rangers being in the World Series. I had to deck both boys out and try to get a couple of pictures. It didn't work out so well. Neither wanted to cooperate.

 John Robert is starting to hold that head up a little more. And he's growing like a weed.

 He smiles a lot and he laughed for the first time this past weekend. 

 These two look so different to me. 

 Keep in mind though - Hudson's hair was straight and brown when he was born too. It didn't start changing colors or getting curly until he was about a year old. Will be interesting to see if John Robert's hair does the same.

 I'm amazed at what a good big brother Hudson is. He's so sweet to John Robert. Always looking out for him and always wanting to hold him or "give him sugars"

Trey and I were running errands with them this weekend and JR was crying in the backseat. Hudson immediately said - "It's okay John Robert - we're almost there." I guess he's heard us say that before. Gotta love those toddlers.

Did you know there's a birthday circuit??? HA! We've been making our rounds lately. It's been out of control. Who knew that Hudson and John Robert would have a busier social life than their Mom and Dad?

This is Fricks. Hudson's best bud. It was his 2nd birthday last weekend!

The kids had so much fun running around. The pinata was a big hit....no pun intended :)

My friend, Kim spent the entire party holding John Robert. She has 2 boys as well, but they're older now. She was definitely getting her baby fix.

She rocked him right to sleep.

This past weekend was spent potty training. We pretty much stayed close to home besides the 2 birthday parties we attended - with NO accidents, I might add. Yay!! I'm still putting him in a diaper at night - but he's woken us up 2 days in a row around 5.45am to tell us that he needs to potty. 

So that's a good sign, right?? 

Tomorrow is a school day, so I'm nervous about how that will go. Cross your fingers for us! 

We're going to a Halloween party tomorrow night.
